We host a faculty of committed Jewish educators chosen for their ability to inspire students with a love of Judaism, while imparting skills necessary to become active and knowledgeable Jews. Temple Adas Shalom embodies Reform Judaism’s commitment to strengthen the fabric of Jewish life and ensure the future of Judaism and the Jewish people by offering a curriculum that is both age-appropriate and pedagogically sound.
Kehillah MAGNET Religious School for Pre-K through Grade 10 is open to all Jewish and Interfaith families regardless of membership.
Meaningful Understanding & Dedicated Commitment to Jewish Education
The Kehillah MAGNET provides Religious School classes to Pre-K through Grade 10 students on Sunday mornings from 9:00 am to noon during the school year. Additionally, we offer virtual Hebrew School classes to Grades 3 through Grades 6 students every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Religious School students and their families are encouraged to participate in our Family Service which is held the first Friday of each month during the academic school year, in addition to our monthly Tot Shabbat service.
We believe that young children flourish in environments where play, experimentation and positive interactions are at the core of their everyday experiences; and have the capacity to persevere with great concentration on challenges that truly engage them and light the fire of their curiosity.

We aim to cultivate students to be responsible members of society within a nurturing environment. Our focus is to inspire a love for learning while teaching a broad base of Jewish culture, history, tradition, and Torah.

More About Our Principal
Sarah O’Donnell is excited to be the Kehillah MAGNET Religious School Principal for the 2021-2022 school year. As a child, she completed her religious school studies through Confirmation in Reading, Pennsylvania and went on to teach Jewish life cycles her senior year of high school. Growing up, the Jewish community played a major role in her life. Her mom taught in the religious school for several decades, and her dad remains an active member of the temple. The friendships that she made growing up in the Jewish community have been lifelong, and she looks forward to forging new ones at Temple Adas Shalom.
Sarah graduated from Penn State University with a double major in Secondary Education and Spanish, as well as a minor in International Studies. She earned her Master’s of Arts in the Leadership of Teaching Spanish from Notre Dame of Maryland University and a Post Master’s Certificate in School Improvement and Leadership from Goucher College.
Sarah lives in Bel Air with her husband, their two young children, and their cat, Tinker.
